Dr George Fragkiadakis

George Fragkiadakis has been working as a substantive Ear Nose Throat Consultant in University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust since  2014. 

​

Motivated by the need for care with continuity and personalised care, he provides ENT clinics and surgery at the Lancaster Private Hospital and the Circle Cheshire Clinic for both self funded patients as well as those who have private medical insurance cover.

​

He obtained his Medical Degree as MD from the University of Crete, Greece. He trained in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and obtained specialist certification in the University Hospital of Heraklion, Greece. He then received further sub specialty training in Germany and Switzerland, before moving in the UK.

​

While working in the NHS he has held several posts, such as head and neck cancer lead, clinical lead, Lancashire and South Cumbria ENT network chair, and associate medical director for clinical effectiveness in University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust.

​

His special interests are Rhinology and Thyroid Surgery. He will be able to help with the diagnosis and treatment of the most common conditions in ENT, like nasal blockage and discharge, loss of smell, sinus problems, sore throat, change in voice, neck lumps and thyroid lumps, hearing loss, imbalance/vertigo, tinnitus, earache and ear discharge.

He provides face to face clinics at the Lancaster Hospital as well as in the Circle Cheshire Clinic.

Fees and consultations

Dr Fragkiadakis is fee assured with several private medical insurers (PMI), such as BUPA, AXA, Aviva, Healix, Vitality, etc. 

For self funded patients the fees are in accordance with an open, fair practice, and GMC guidance. Be assured you will be aware of the costs of consultations, investigations and treatments beforehand. 

​

First appointment consultations for self funded patients are scheduled for up to 30 minutes, and the fee is currently £280 for the consultation, inclusive of any diagnostic tests needed, such ear toilet (i.e. removal of ear wax) and flexible nasal or throat endoscopy.

​

Follow up Consultations are to discuss results, assess response to treatment and treatment options, and are charged at 200£ rates.

If you are self-funding you will be provided with procedure or operation fees to be agreed in advance in conjunction with the relevant Private Hospital provider. Fixed price packages are often available for common procedures, though prices may vary for patients with more complex conditions. Payment in advance, (in full), is usually required by Hospitals prior to you undergoing any procedure.

For patients that use Private Medical Insurer policies (PMI), the fees are in accordance with PMI recommended or approved fee schemes, where these are offered.
